EASTON, MARYLAND — ShoreRivers wants pictures of the water first — Choptank, Miles, Wye, Chester, Sassafras, Eastern Bay, and the Bayside Creeks.
The nonprofit’s official photo-contest page says submissions are open from Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, 2026. Judges will pick four winning images from each Riverkeeper watershed for a total of 16 winners. ShoreRivers says it wants images that show Eastern Shore waterways the group works to protect and restore through science-based advocacy, restoration, education, and engagement. Eligible shooters are residents of, or visitors to, Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
How to enter on the official sheet. Photographers may submit up to four images. Email one photo at a time to photo [at] shorerivers.org and include the photographer’s name, the waterbody or watershed, the county, and the town if applicable. Images must be taken within the land and waterways of the Chester, Choptank, Sassafras, Miles, and Wye rivers, Eastern Bay, and the Bayside Creeks. AI-generated images are not accepted. ShoreRivers says photographers keep their rights and grant the group a non-exclusive right to use selected images with credit in publications and outreach.
The contest stays on those named Eastern Shore watersheds and the official submission rules on ShoreRivers’ photo-contest page.
