No data-center application is pending in Easton or Talbot County. Resolution 395, introduced Aug. 11, would pause processing of any future filing for 12 months so the county can write zoning with the Town of Easton. That is a planning conversation, not a project on a map.
If a campus is ever proposed, the terms worth arguing now are tax class (a 2026 2.5× personal-property subclass bill was not enacted), on-site power, cooling, local hiring, and fiber laterals that serve the towns as well as the hall. Shore customers are already paying toward Virginia halls under PJM rules; a local project under Maryland’s 2025 large-load rate law is how the county would capture the other side of that ledger.
This section will carry letters — with name and town — on whether, and on what terms, to write the welcome.
