NORFOLK, VIRGINIA — The Norfolk Tides beat the Charlotte Knights 4-2 on Tuesday night at Harbor Park, opening their home series with a two-run win.
Norfolk scored twice in the fifth. Brandon Butterworth came home on a Christian Franklin groundout, and Payton Eeles singled home Jud Fabian for a 2-0 lead. Charlotte answered in the sixth: Riley Unroe’s RBI single made it 2-1, and Rikuu Nishida scored on a wild pitch to tie the game at 2-2.
